If you are fond of Hong Kong's culture, I would like to introduce some beautiful places of Hong Kong to you.
南生囲 is a wetland area in Yuen Long district(Japanese: 元朗区) of Hong Kong, an ecologically important and serves as a stopping place for migratory birds(Chinese: 候鳥, Japanese: 季節によって現れたりいなくなったりするの渡り鳥). It is also a popular recreational destination, especially on weekends and public holidays, not only for tourists but also for local Hongkongers.
One more thing that some people may not know ! 南生囲 is also a place that many Hong Kong directors shoot their memorable movie scenes in the great movies they produced, such as :《導火線》、《搜神傳》、《胭脂水粉》、《洪武三十二》and《食為奴》, because of its beautiful countryside scenery.
南生囲 makes me recall my memory of a place 軽井沢 in Japan which I visited for a holiday trip many years ago. Both places are quite similar in terms of location, scenery, cycling and recreational feelings.
1. Location
南生囲 is a rural area in Hong Kong, near the border between Shenzhen(深圳) and Hong Kong, with the characteristics of countryside rather than a town.
The most convenient way to go to 南生囲 is by MTR train(Japanese: 地下鉄) to arrive at Yuen Long MTR station(Chinese: 元朗站, Japanese: 元朗駅). On the opposite side of G2 Exit of Yuen Long MTR station there is a bus transfer terminal point, and then take a transfer bus number 76K, drop off at 紅毛橋站. You will see 南生圍路(Japanese: 南生囲町), walk along this road for a moment 南生囲 will be there.
Similarly 軽井沢 is also a rural area in 東京 near a train station, it is a famous place for tourist sightseeing. Get there by a JR train 北陸新幹線 from 東京 to 軽井沢. Hey, wait a moment ! It looks strange and does not make sense for me, as a 香港人, to tell a 日本人 where 軽井沢 is ??? You should know more than me !!! But anyway, here is 軽井沢駅.
2. Scenery
Both 南生囲 and 軽井沢 are good places for walking, biking and scenery changes with seasons. 南生囲 used to be a small village with fishermen and now is a unique wetland. The little wooden bridge is famous because of lots of filming happened here. Somebody described 南生囲 as a hidden gem with the walkway, wetland, little wooden bridge, bird watching locations and ferry pier.

3. Cycling
You can rent a bicycle to enjoy the cycling routes around both 南生囲 and 軽井沢. For most foreign visitors to Hong Kong, 南生囲 does not rank as a top place to visit on the first time, second time, third time of travel, etc... unless you really love rural areas, running out of things to do in Hong Kong or just want to get some good exercise.

4. Recreational feelings
Both 南生囲 and 軽井沢 are great places to get away from the crowds or for a cycle or run. In particular, 南生囲 is good for friends and families gathering. Photo taking, relax and activity place for picnic as well. There are wedding photo shooting sometimes. It's really quiet, good to get a fresh air and relax, especially at the dawn of the day.
Sounds good to stay away from crowded areas and be able to breath in fresh air without having to wear face masks which is becoming ubiquitous all over Hong Kong and getting more so by the day...
Enjoy a nice, peaceful five kilometers trek out to the end part. Watch out for the walking fish at low tide along the way.
